Consoles & Workstations - Click any image below for more information.

Marine consoles need to have correctly positioned helm (steering wheel) and engine controls. All navigation systems, electronics, gauges and instruments need to be in view. Aerodynamic console designs provide crew protection by reducing the effects of waves, spray and wind chill. A T-Top roof or cover can be attached for sun and rain protection. Many professional RIBs and High Speed Craft have individual work stations to separate the tasks of helming, navigation, communications and command. The workstation should have good ergonomics and hand holds to allow operation of electronics and controls in all sea states. Multi function computer systems are being designed to be smaller and more durable for use at sea. Marine units are waterproofed for use in open RIBs and High Speed Craft. An integrated workstation allows the operator to select the tasks to view at a particular work station. The system may include tactical functions for military applications.
