DSEI 2019, held in London from 10 to 13 September, brings together the defence and security industry to source the latest equipment and systems, develop new relationships and generate international business opportunities.

The ExCel venue in London’s docklands provides an ideal setting for demonstrations of vessels, including high speed craft for tackling security threats and unmanned surface vehicles.

DSEI is recognised by defence procurement agencies around the world as a milestone opportunity to evaluate the full spectrum of maritime defence and security products, technologies and equipment, from the latest warships and craft design to advanced new systems for surveillance, communication, weapons, sensors and navigation.

The Maritime Zone’s dedicated seminar theatre focuses on topics of current importance to the maritime community including maritime security, power projection including amphibious and carrier group forces capabilities, future naval ship design, the future role of OPVs and the latest developments in mine hunting.

The Maritime Capability Conference 2019 will be delivered in partnership with the Royal Navy on DSEI Day Zero (9 September). The conference will focus on the following topics under the overarching theme of ‘Autonomous Operations in a Digital Navy’:

Digitisation - How to digitise the Royal Navy and ensure Information advantage is at the heart of the future naval approach
Autonomy - Exploring the opportunities to increase mass, reach and lethality of the Royal Navy
Machine Speed Warfare – Harnessing new, disruptive technologies to gain war-winning advantage
Manpower - Manning and training the future increasingly ‘autonomous navy’

The DSEI 2019 Naval Zone will be the most comprehensive dedicated Naval Zone in DSEI history. The Zone will incorporate over 50 specialist naval exhibitors and is fully supported by the First Sea Lord and Royal Navy. The Naval Zone is one of DSEI’s greatest strengths.

The Naval Zone provides the DSEI audience with unrivalled networking opportunities, insights from key decision makers and the opportunity to see first-hand the industry’s latest vessels in action with interactive presentations and waterborne demonstrations. DSEI is set to host up to eight warships and a number of rotary assets that operate in the maritime domain.

UK MOD Service Chiefs of Staff will give Keynote speeches in the exhibition floor theatres. DSEI will also feature a strong international speaker line up, with around 300 seminar sessions and keynotes across seven theatres and four strategic conferences facilitating knowledge sharing and networking around key topics and technical areas.

DSEI's seminars will address the challenges, developments and future of the Defence & Security sector's ever-changing landscape providing a global platform for key government figures and influential policy makers within the sector. These include: Air, Naval, Land, Security, Special Forces, Unmanned and Global Partnerships.

The maritime element at DSEI experience a showcase of prime contractors and smaller technology providers located inside ExCeL with an impressive international flotilla on the adjoining docks. Visiting warships provided a valuable platform for the demonstrations of new systems and equipment from the innovative maritime sector.

The world leading event connects governments, national armed forces, industry thought leaders and the global defence & security supply chain on an unrivalled scale.  With a range of valuable opportunities for networking, a platform for business, access to relevant content & live-action demonstrations, the DSEI community can innovate, share knowledge, discover & experience the latest capabilities across the Aerospace, Land, Naval, Security & Joint domains. DSEI 2017 was a great success with over 34,000 visitors, over 1500 exhibitors and 255 official delegations.
