C-Fury Patrol AWC is designed to deliver high levels of control from low speed to over 40 knots whether empty or fully loaded. The hybrid hull combines a catamaran for stability and ride quality, an assister hydrofoil for efficiency and ride enhancement and large air tunnels for stability and shock reduction. The deck and seating layout maximise space and passenger comfort and the hull gives high stability at rest.
The C-Fury catamaran hull is designed to give a very smooth ride, along with good levels of lift and directional stability. The hull has two large tunnels separated by a narrow central wave deflector. The constantly decreasing tunnels compress the air stream which helps direct spray underneath the boat. In between the hulls, above the keel, a hydrofoil delivers both lift and stability.
The majority of the lift, over 65%, is provided by the hull. The hydrofoil provides up to 30% lift, while the air trapped and being compressed in the tunnel provides up to 5% of the lift. The result of this lift is that the hull planes high in the water and the reduced wetted area of the hull increases efficiency.
The C-Fury Patrol hull construction is multiaxial glass with core mat and plywood re-enforcing, vinylester resin and gel coat. The 3 chamber Hypalon tube is removable. The fuel system is a removable 25 litre tank with space for 2 x 5 litre auxiliary tanks. Options include an under seat vented fuel locker with fuel filter and water separator or 45 litre permanent fuel tank.
