The Gecko Mk10 Marine Safety Helmet is designed for use in a marine environment to provide head protection and reduce exposure to the elements. The helmet has a unique Kevlar fibreglass construction. The GMSH helmet has 3 main parts - the outer shell, internal liner and the retention system. Each part is designed to provide maximum protection and comfort.
The outer shell is a two-part fibreglass construction. It is fluted to increase strength and rigidity and shaped to allow full range of peripheral vision. The shell accommodates larger head sizes and provides the maximum level of protective coverage. The shell offers good energy absorption and resistance to penetration. The marine safety helmet allows interaction with other equipment such as a lifejacket, dry suit or survival suit.
The Gecko helmet contains an inflatable liner system ensuring a true custom fit. An adjustable control valve, allows the wearer to adjust the feel of the helmet very precisely for maximum comfort and secure fit. The helmet is secured by a nylon webbing strap system, which is locked and adjusted by a Fastex click system buckle. The strap and buckle are sheathed in neoprene to provide comfort and to prevent rubbing.
The Gecko Marine Safety Helmet is BSI approved to PAS 028:2002 Marine Safety Helmet Standard and CE marked. The helmet provides fixing points for a wide range of add-ons including visors, goggles and torches. Gecko can offer a number of custom additions to the GMSH including the attachment of video and communications devices.
