CPI Marine Sea Armor is an allround fendering system that is designed to be fitted to professional planing craft and light to medium duty commercial work boats. Sea Armor can be custom made for new boats or retrofitted to existing in-service craft. The Sea Armor fendering solution can be used on traditional GRP / FRP / aluminum ‘hard boats’ for protection of the hull while maneuvering alongside other craft, fixed platforms, docking and navigation through narrow inlets or locks.

Sea Armor protects boats from impacts to the gunwales and hull area above the waterline, reducing the use of traditional fenders. Fitting Sea Armor saves time positioning and stowing fenders, with fewer fenders carried onboard there is additional storage space. Typical applications include law enforcement, government agencies, utility and training craft.

Sea Armor is available in two versions. The 11 inch (28 cm) ‘D shape’ Sea Armor Collar is for boats over 17 feet (5.2 metres) in length. The ‘D shape’ Sea Armor is manufactured using 2.2 pounds per cubic foot density, of closed-cell polyethylene foam. The 6 inch (15cm) ‘O shape’ Sea Armor Collar is for boats under 17 feet (5.2 metres) in length. The ‘O shape’ Sea Armor is manufactured using 1.7 pound per cubic foot density, extruded closed-cell polyethylene foam.

The outer fabric for both versions of Sea Armor is 32 oz total weight per square yard PVC coated material with a 1000 denier polyester base. There is also an optional 38 oz Elvaloy coated material with a base fabric of 8 oz per sq yard polyester. Standard Sea Armor is available in light grey with other colors available to order.
