Rosborough Boats Hammerhead Series are designed as fast work boats, patrol and emergency services response craft. The RFV HammerHead is derived from the Rough Water hull design providing a boat that is adaptable to a wide range of conditions, from a harsh chop in a bay to high speed patrolling on lakes and rivers, or emergency response in a flooded territory.
The RFV HammerHead hull design incorporates a 21 degree deep V continuous dead rise hull form and a hydro step flat at the keel with lean bow sections and sharp fore foot which ensures very soft entry into rough seas and answers the need for a fast Hard-Shell with a user friendly ride. The wide hull provides stability at speed and at rest.
The center console control unit is laid out to provide ample control and instrumentation spaces and allow for adequate space forward for rescue stretcher and patient treatment accommodation space. Inside floor dimensions provide a large working area. The RV-22 deck area is14 feet long and 7 feet 5” wide. The RV-25 deck area is16 feet long with a bow deck of 42". Options on RFV-22 and RFV-25 include aluminium T-Top, windshield, heavy duty fendering, emergency services lighting, heavy duty tow post and side dive door for access to the water. The RFV-25 has the option of a semi-cabin with removable sides for different conditions.
The Composite Modular Construction (CMC) hull uses the latest technologies with Vinylester resins and Corecell core providing an ultra strong, light structure which allows versatility to layout and the ability to re-configure for various onboard equipment. Standard propulsion on the RFV-22 is by inboard with jet propulsion or single outboard motor located in a self-contained well. Propulsion options on the RFV-25 are single or twin outboard motors or inboard with jet propulsion, plus option of crash bar protection.
