KPM Marine Unitrack System provides a structural mounting system for various seat types. All DNV and Annex 10 systems must be tested from the floor up. The KPM Unitrac System allows seats to be repositioned within minutes. The Unitrac System is crash tested and type approved to Annex 10. In the process of designing the 12G seating system KPM developed a series of high specification components that are available as separate items.
The KPM 12G Slider was developed to meet the regulations of Annex 10. This marinized seat slider unit has a travel of 150 mm (6”). The Slider is guided by 20 stainless steel roller bearings to ensure a smooth sliding action. To minimise corrosion the Slider is made from aircraft grade aluminium and 316 stainless steel which enables it to be used externally. The slider is designed for easy maintenance and with replaceable components to extend the lifetime of the unit.
The KPM 12G Pivot was developed to meet the regulations of Annex 10. This marinized seat swivel can rotate 360 degrees in increments of 30 degrees. The Pivot is activated by a low profile side handle and stainless steel bearings ensure a smooth action. To minimise corrosion the Pivot is made from aircraft grade aluminium and 316 stainless steel which enables it to be used externally. The Pivot is designed for easy maintenance and with replaceable components to extend the lifetime of the unit.
The key elements of KPM seat testing and safety are a double acting suspension system that absorbs energy in one direction when hitting waves and in the opposite direction during crash impact. The low overall seat / suspension weight reduces the dynamic force upon impact. The monocoque aluminium seat structure is designed to be compliant and absorb energy by utilising crumple zones which bend upon rear impact and absorb energy.
