VEI Marine Grade Computers are designed for flexibility and expanded connectivity. The VEI Marci family of marinized computers provide a scalable platform for onboard electronics networks. VEI support for marine operations includes full system planning and on site project management. The VEI Waypoint Navigation System offers a simple, versatile marine navigation hardware and software package.
VEI Marine Grade Computers are a compact design, shock resistant, corrosion resistant, rugged aluminium construction with powder coated chassis. VEI provides computer and display solutions for all applications of software on any type of vessel. Connectivity includes chart plotter, radar, sounder, communications, security and system monitoring.
The new VEI Marci standard computer specification includes 2.4 GHz Intel Pentium 4 processor or optional 2.8 GHz Intel Pentium 4, 512Mb RAM or optional 1GB – 2GB, 40 GB hard drive or optional 60 – 100 GB, Windows 2000 Pro operating system or optional Windows XP Pro. Options include wireless keyboard and mouse, custom keypad for dedicated systems. Input / Output include analog RGB / USB / serial / Ethernet / keyboard / mouse / printer / audio. The large and easy to use VEI rollerball mouse is available for new builds or for retrofit.
VEI has a department dedicated to the fabrication of custom installations, including design and manufacture of helm stations. From idea to CAD drawing to fabrication VEI engineers will design an ergonomically perfect helm. VEI use the finest marine grade aluminium, built to withstand the worst that the sea, saltwater and sun can throw at it.
