Speed@Seawork 2019 - On Land and On Water

Sea Trials & Conference

Speed@Seawork 2019 takes place on Monday 10 and Tuesday 11 June. Speed@Seawork delegates join the group in Southampton then travel by water to Cowes on the Isle of Wight.

The networking welcome breakfast onboard ‘Ocean Scene’ is sponsored by OSI Maritime Systems, with the opening presentation by MoD Boats Team Leader, Alistair Hughes.

The Speed@Seawork Sea Trials Day will be based in and around Cowes Yacht Haven. Centrally located close to the town centre, the Yacht Haven will host the conference lunch and presentations throughout the day. The Haven marina will also be the operations centre for sea trials in the open waters of The Solent.

Day one of Speed@Seawork finishes in Cowes with networking drinks and canapes sponsored by Ocean Safety. Delegates then head to the Red Jet terminal in Cowes for return travel to Southampton by fast ferry.

The Speed@Seawork Conference Day will be held at Seawork. John Haynes of Shock Mitigation will review day one and give an overview of fast craft innovations globally. The half-day format has industry presentations interspersed with networking.

Mercator Media introduced the inaugural Speed@Seawork in 2018 as a sector-specific feature for Seawork, Europe’s largest commercial on the water marine exhibition. Speed@Seawork aims to facilitate growth and development for the design, build and operation of specialist fast vessels.
