Scot Seats S2J and S3J Shock Mitigation Jockey Seats are designed to be fitted in RIBs or fast craft to improve the comfort and safety of occupants. The mechanism is made from CNC machined marine grade aluminium with an anodized finish and 316 stainless steel fasteners. These suspension seats are suitable for people of a wide range of sizes due to a height and weight adjustment system. This is operated by simply turning a knob on the back of the seat and an adjustable damper.
S2 shock mitigation seats have custom built FOX Float 3 air shocks by FOX Defence as standard, giving 150mm (6”) of travel. The S2 system utilises travel intelligently by using the minimum amount of movement to reduce impacts while still giving a bottomless feel. When set at its standard pressure, the custom float air shock, with high-flow velocity sensitive damping, suits a broad range of occupant weights without needing to adjust.
The Scot Seats S3J Shock Mitigation Jockey Seat gives the user two forms of shock mitigation in one seat. The first stage of suspension is the up and down movement which utilises a progressive spring assisted damper incorporated in a swing arm system. The second stage is a Shuffle System which allows for some sideways movement to reduce the effects of side forces that can cause injuries.
The S2 Shock Mitigation Jockey Seat has the same features at the S3 jockey seat except it does not have the Shuffle System installed, which allows for more storage space to be retained under the seat. Scot Seats Jockey Seats are trimmed as standard in Toughtec material which is hard wearing, water resistant, UV resistant and anti-slip when wet or dry. Optional extras include side support wings, top or front grab handles, mesh pocket, tracked mounting system.
